Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) to support the buildout of our data center infrastructure in the Memphis/Southaven area. In this onsite, full-time role, you will inspect welds on large-bore piping and structural steel, ensuring adherence to AWS, ASME, and project specifications.

You will work with welding, mechanical, structural, and operations teams, verify welder qualifications, and document results throughout construction and turnover.

Qualifications

• Current AWS CWI certification.
• Experience inspecting welded industrial piping and structural steel in the field.
• Knowledge of ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1.
• NDT methods VT/MT/PT/UT as applicable.
• Experience on data center or industrial construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welds in progress and complete against codes and drawings.
• Verify welder qualifications before welding.
• Monitor welding processes and ensure procedure compliance.
• Record inspection results and communicate findings.
• Oversee NDE and testing activities on site.
