Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cath Lab CVT team on a PRN day shift, performing diagnostic and interventional catheterization support and patient care.

Education: Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy. Five years’ experience preferred; RCIS or RCES certifications required within 12 months of hire; ARRT certification preferred; BLS and ACLS required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in cardiovascular tech, radiologic tech, or respiratory therapy.
• Minimum of five years' cath lab experience.
• RCIS or RCES certification required within 12 months of hire.
• ARRT certification preferred.
• BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist diagnostic/interventional cath lab procedures.
• Provide safe patient care and scrub assistance.

Responsibilities

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant. This is a PRN Day Shift position.

Qualifications

Education

Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy

In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
• ORRegistered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)

If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:

• -FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license
• OR-FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license
• OR-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
• OR-Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification-any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
