Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technician to support our dynamic Heart and Vascular team in Florida. This PRN Day Shift role involves monitoring diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures and serving as a scrub assistant under the direction of the director/charge person.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy, with RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy is required.
• RCIS or RCES certification is required within 12 months of hire (if not already held).
• ARRT certification is preferred; if ARRT is not held, Florida licenses or RCIS/RCES must be obtained within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• The Cath Lab CVT monitors procedures, including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, and ensures safe patient care.
• Works as a scrub assistant under the direction of the director/charge person.

Responsibilities

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant. This is a PRN Day Shift position.

Qualifications

Education

Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy

In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
• ORRegistered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)

If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:

• -FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license
• OR-FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license
• OR-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
• OR-Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification-any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
