Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with Cardiovascular Technology background to join a dynamic Heart and Vascular team. The role focuses on interventional cardiac cath lab support, patient monitoring, and collaboration with physicians during procedures.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate's Degree in CVT, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy, or 5+ years of relevant experience with RCIS/RCES certifications within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.
• Five years' experience acceptable in lieu of education, with RCIS and RCES certifications within 12 months of hire.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• ARRT certification preferred

Responsibilities

• The Cath Lab CVT monitors diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies.
• Ensures safe patient care and serves as a scrub assistant during procedures.
• Works under direction of the hospital director/charge person on PRN Day Shift.

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant. This is a PRN Day Shift position.

Qualifications

• Education
  • Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
  • In lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years' experience and:
    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
    • Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
• Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
  • If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:
    • -FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR
    • -FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR
    • -Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR
    • -Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification
    • -any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
