Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in Florida is seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Heart and Vascular team. The role focuses on interventional cath studies, device implants, and electrophysiology support, with the team emphasizing collaboration and patient outcomes.

This PRN Day Shift position requires RCIS or RCES within 12 months if not holding an associate degree, plus BLS/ACLS; five years of related experience preferred, ARRT license optional.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in the applicable field is required or five years of experience in the field.
• RCIS or RCES certification is required within 12 months of hire.
• ARRT certification is preferred but not required at hire.
• If no degree is held, licensure/certification must be obtained within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Monitor procedures and ensure safe patient care during diagnostic and interventional studies.
• Work as a scrub assistant under direction of the director/charge person.
• This is a PRN Day Shift position.

Education

Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy

Five years' experience in related field

RCIS Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

RCES Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

ARRT Certification (preferred)

FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license (if no ARRT)

FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license (if no ARRT)

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (alternative)

Responsibilities

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant. This is a PRN Day Shift position.

Qualifications

Education

Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy

In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
• ORRegistered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)

If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:

• -FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license
• OR-FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license
• OR-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
• OR-Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification-any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
