Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital (TVH) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room. The RN-CVOR performs initial assessment and prioritizes care in a high-acuity setting, supporting advanced cardiac procedures.

You will initiate discharge planning on admission, implement the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care, assist the physician in the OR including CABG, and maintain sterility per AORN guidelines. California RN license and BLS/ACLS required; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience circulating for cardio-thoracic/coronary artery bypass surgery.
• Current California RN license.
• Basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support certifications required.
• PALS certification preferred; CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates discharge planning for each patient upon admission as appropriate.
• Performs interventions identified for each nursing diagnosis on the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care.
• Assists the physician with procedures in the operating room, including cardio-thoracic surgery and CABG; sets up for cases and maintains sterility per AORN guidelines.
