Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Registered Nurse for the CVOR. The role requires a CA RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with at least 1 year in a critical care setting. You will support perioperative care, discharge planning, and operating room procedures.

Float may be required to other Southwest Health facilities, with orientation and competency validation provided. BSN preferred and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience in a critical care setting in an acute care facility.
• BSN preferred.
• Current California Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• Employees may be required to float to other facilities within Southwest Health Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Hospital based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment appropriate to the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age, development level, and cultural orientation.
• Initiate discharge planning for each patient upon admission as appropriate.
• Assist the physician with procedures in the operating room, including cardio-thoracic surgery and coronary artery bypass surgery.
• Set-up for cases and maintain sterility in the operating room per AORN guidelines.
