Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the CVOR team, assist with cardio-thoracic procedures, and participate in interdisciplinary care.

The role requires a California RN license, BLS, ACLS (PALS/CNOR preferred), and at least two years' experience circulating for cardiothoracic/CABG cases. TVH offers a rewarding environment and opportunities for growth.

Candidates will set up for cases, maintain sterility per AORN guidelines, and contribute to discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with California RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications.
• Two years' experience circulating for cardio-thoracic/coronary artery bypass surgery.
• CNOR and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment and plan care based on patient presentation and age.
• Initiate discharge planning upon admission and follow Interdisciplinary Plan of Care.
• Assist physicians with OR procedures, including cardio-thoracic surgery, and maintain sterility per AORN.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties: The Registered Nurse‑CVOR performs initial assessment appropriate to the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age, development level, and cultural and religious orientation. Identifies and prioritizes the need for further assessment based on the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, desire for care and responses to any previous care. Initiates discharge planning for each patient upon admission as appropriate. Performs interventions identified for each nursing diagnosis on the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care. Demonstrates the ability to assist the physician with procedures in the operating room, including cardio‑thoracic surgery and coronary artery bypass surgery. Able to set‑up for cases and maintain sterility in the operating room per AORN guidelines.

Qualifications

Minimum two (2) years’ experience circulating for cardio‑thoracic/coronary artery bypass surgery. Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program. Registered Nurse with current California RN license. Current BLS, ACLS certification from American Heart Association. Current PALS (AHA) preferred. CNOR preferred.
