Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital (TVH), part of Southwest Healthcare, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room to support CTS cases and discharge planning. The role requires clinical assessment, sterile technique in OR settings, and collaboration with the surgical team.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited RN program completion, California RN license, BLS and ACLS, with PALS and CNOR preferred to strengthen perioperative care and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current California RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association.
• PALS certification preferred.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments considering clinical presentation, age, and cultural factors.
• Initiate discharge planning upon admission and participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
• Assist physicians with operating room procedures, including cardio-thoracic surgery, and maintain sterile field per AORN guidelines.
