Job summary

IntermountainHealth’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO seeks a Cardiovascular OR RN to deliver high-quality care in the OR.

You’ll collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses to support cardiovascular surgical patients through admissions, procedures and post-op care. The role requires a BSN, Colorado RN license, BLS (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate), and at least one year of cardiothoracic nursing experience.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• Current Colorado RN license or compact license with ability to obtain Colorado RN license.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate).
• At least 1 year of Cardiothoracic nursing experience in a comparable setting, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and address patients’ psychological and physical needs.
• Foster continuity and quality of care with patients and families in mind.
• Assess a patient’s medical status upon admission.
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
• Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines.
