Job summary

IntermountainHealth’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO, seeks a Cardiovascular OR RN to join a surgical services team. The CVOR nurse collaborates with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure safe, high-quality care for patients undergoing procedures.

Department: Operating Room; Shift: 10 hours/day, Monday–Friday, some call, nights, weekends, holidays. Requires BSN, CO RN license (or compact), BLS (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate) and 1 year of cardiothoracic nursing experience

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• Current Colorado RN license or compact license.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and address patients’ psychological and physical needs.
• Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind.
• Assess a patients’ medical status upon admission.
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
• Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines.

Education

Current Colorado RN license or compact license
