Job summary

IntermountainHealth’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction is seeking a Cardiovascular OR RN to join the surgical services team. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers and nurses to deliver safe, high-quality cardiovascular surgical care in a fast-paced OR setting.

The role requires a BSN, Colorado RN license (or compact) and BLS (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate). OR experience is highly preferred and the shift is 10 hours/day, Monday to Friday with call.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of Cardiothoracic nursing experience in a comparable setting.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and address patients’ psychological and physical needs.
• Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind.
• Assess a patients’ medical status upon admission.
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
• Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines.
