Job summary

IntermountainHealth’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular OR RN to join our surgical services team.

As a CVOR nurse you’ll collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and fellow nurses to deliver safe, high-quality care for patients undergoing complex cardiac and vascular procedures. The department operates in the OR with a 10-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with call and some nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service.
• At least 1 year of Cardiothoracic nursing experience in a comparable acute care/surgical services setting, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and address patients’ psychological and physical needs.
• Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind.
• Assess a patient's medical status upon admission.
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
• Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines.
