Job summary

Medical City Denton is seeking a Registered Nurse for the CVICU on the night shift. The role emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

The RN will perform procedures, monitor patients, and educate families about conditions, plans, and medications. Certification in ACLS/BLS is required on hire, with tuition support and comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• RN with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• 1 year CVICU RN experience or 2 years ICU RN experience.
• ACLS certification required on hire.
• BLS certification on hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding for patients and families.
