Job summary

Medical City Denton is seeking a Registered Nurse in the ICU for a full-time night shift. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in the ICU, collaborating with physicians and the care team.

The RN documents care, educates patients and families, and participates in evidence-based practice to support safety and outcomes. TX licensure, BLS/ACLS, and ICU experience are preferred; BSN within 2 years is advised.

Qualifications

• Active TX RN license required or eligibility.
• BLS and ACLS certifications on hire.
• ICU nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents care in the patient chart promptly.
• Educates patients/families/caregivers about condition, plan, medications and follow-up; translates medical terms for understanding.
• Addresses non-medicinal follow-up, including diet, exercise, disease prevention and self-management guidance.
• Engages in evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement to meet quality measures.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver a holistic care plan.
