CVICU Night Shift RN – Lead in Critical Care

Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals in Dallas, TX seeks a Registered Nurse CVICU to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced cardiovascular ICU. This is a full-time night shift 7:00pm-7:00am with rotating weekends.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and ensure excellent clinical outcomes. The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate, TX RN license (or compact), BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1–2 years of critical care experience;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional nursing.
• Current TX RN license or compact license.
• Current BLS issued by ARC or AHA.
• Current ACLS issued by ARC or AHA.
• CCRN preferred.
• Experience with high acuity ICU medical/surgical patients highly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year Critical Care experience in an acute care hospital within the last 3 years (2+ preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in the CVICU.
• Collaborates with medical providers and care team to implement care plans.
• Educates patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Coordinates holistic patient treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team.
