Job summary

Adventist HealthCare’s White Oak Medical Center seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular ICU. You will educate patients and families, model professional nursing practice, and use evidence-based care to support patient outcomes.

Requirements include a Maryland RN license, NCLEX pass, minimum 1 year RN experience, BLS, and ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by specialty. Three 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX is required.
• MD RN license required.
• Active BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family across the continuum of care.
• Serve as a role model for Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices.
• Develop a care plan according to patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct rounds from patient and family perspective.
