Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• Current Maryland State nursing license and BLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role model to Level I nurses and mentor staff.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment correctly and delegate non-nursing duties when appropriate.
• Develop and update patient care plans based on population needs.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct rounding from patient and family perspectives.
• Perform literature searches and apply evidence to practice.
• Identify opportunities for practice improvement based on evidence.
