Job summary

J H Routh Packing Company is seeking a Cut Floor Supervisor to oversee the cut floor production process, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and USDA standards. You will supervise shifts, track yields, and implement adjustments to meet goals while directing maintenance and setup of equipment.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment and willingness to work long hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Bilingual is a plus).
• Able to lead problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts with production and process issues.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and motivate employees.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Knowledge of pork processing, cutting, trimming, product specifications, and production flow is preferred.
• May be required to work long hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and guidance to employees on the Production Floor.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Assigns employees to positions after hire, along with training, planning, and directing. Appraises performance, addresses employee concerns, and assists with disciplinary actions and appropriate resolutions.
• The Cut Floor Supervisor oversees production employees on assigned shifts to ensure production guidelines are met within timing, quality, yield, and cost standards.
• Directs the routine maintenance and setup of machines, equipment, and production areas.
• Maintain an active and visible presence on the production floor.
• Commitment to safety, quality, production, and company values.
• Willingness to attend training and development programs.
