Job summary

J H Routh Packing Company is seeking a Food Safety Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee the food safety and quality of products in production. You will lead the FSQA team, implement USDA/FDA programs, and ensure compliant documentation across the plant.

Responsibilities include daily leadership of QA staff, conducting SQF audits, reporting to stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in food safety culture and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in food quality/production preferred.
• Strong understanding of HACCP principles and SQF requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to the FSQA team and technicians.
• Oversee daily QA activities and ensure compliance with food safety programs.
• Lead SQF audits and monthly reporting activities.
• Develop and communicate quality improvements; maintain documentation for regulatory agencies.
• Ensure adherence to USDA/FSIS requirements and company policies.
• Coordinate with production and customers on quality issues.
