You will review invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, classify items using HTS, and calculate duties while coordinating with importers and carriers. The role requires 2+ years of entry writing experience, knowledge of US import rules, and familiarity with ACE and brokerage software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customs entry writing experience in freight forwarding or customs brokerage
• Strong knowledge of US import regulations and customs clearance procedures
• Experience with customs brokerage software and ACE
• Familiarity with HTS classification and duty calculations
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to manage multiple entries and deadlines simultaneously
• Customs Broker License preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs entries in compliance with CBP regulations.
• Review shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and arrival notices.
• Classify products using HTS.
• Calculate duties, taxes, and fees.
• Coordinate with importers, carriers, government agencies, and internal operations teams.
• Ensure timely clearance of shipments and resolve customs-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance purposes.
• Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to customers.
• Stay up to date with changes in customs regulations and trade compliance requirements.
