Job summary

ClearFreight is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to prepare, review, and file customs entries with CBP for timely clearance. You will review invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and origin certificates, spotting discrepancies and resolving issues to keep shipments moving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file accurate customs entries with CBP to ensure timely clearance.
• Review shipment documents and verify accuracy of invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
• Identify missing or incorrect information and resolve discrepancies.
• Input data to CBP and other agencies and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Serve as main point of contact for customs inquiries and post-entry matters.
• Escalate compliance concerns and non-routine transactions to management.
• Run point on assigned shipments from entry prep to delivery and billing.
• Respond quickly to customer questions and track shipment status.
