Qualifications

• 2+ years of customs entry writing experience in freight forwarding or brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. import regulations and clearance procedures.
• Experience with customs brokerage software and ACE.
• Familiarity with HTS classification and duty calculations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple entries and deadlines simultaneously.
• Customs Broker License preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs entries per CBP regulations.
• Review shipping docs: invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, arrival notices.
• Classify products using the HTS.
• Calculate duties, taxes, and fees.
• Coordinate with importers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams.
• Ensure timely clearance of shipments and resolve customs-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance.
• Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to customers.
