What we’re looking for…

• Entry Writer with 3-5 years of entry writing experience and familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations.
• Experience dealing with a high volume of data entry.
• Cargowise experience is a plus.

About the Position

Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Prepares customs entries for all import shipments to be submitted to and released from U.S. Customs in a timely manner.
• Ensures that all entries are properly classified by using tools such as company profiles, CROSS (Customs Rulings Online Search System), Internet, and communication with the Importer of Record.
• Creates invoices for duty and entry charges to be sent to the Billing Department.
• Develops and maintains customer profiles based on shipment history.
• Coordinates with customers to classify new commodities according to HTS.
• Answers brokerage-related inquiries internally and externally.

Work Schedule

New York Office: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm EST (Rotational overtime on Sundays)

Computer Skills

Experience with Microsoft Office is required.

Education & Experience

• Associate's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of entry writing experience.

Salary

$55,000-$65,000 annually, based on education and experience.
