Blue United Sourcing LLC in Bensenville, IL is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entries and Shipping Logistics, Customer Service Representative to ensure import shipments clear customs on time and in compliance. You will review shipment documents, process entries, and maintain strong client relationships.

You will work onsite Monday–Friday, with a salary of $60,000–$65,000 and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with employer match.

Qualifications

• Strong command of the English language.
• Customer-Service orientation
• A team player who takes initiative and is open to learning new ways of doing things
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Understanding of state, federal, and international customs and trade regulations
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and willing to take ownership of your work
• 3–5+ years of operational experience quoting, filing, and auditing customs entries
• Experience working with Participating Government Agencies (PGAs) in the customs clearance process
• Prior administrative or customer service experience in logistics
• Proficiency with customs entry software, spreadsheets, and databases
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customs entries and bonds, primarily for air and ocean shipments, with some cross-border shipments
• Complete all regulatory requirements and documentation, including transit documents and customs clearances
• Maintain client-specific Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) databases
• Process, distribute, and release shipment documentation to carriers, freight forwarders, customers, and agents in a timely manner
• Review and complete client billing based on established pricing, ensuring accurate costs and profit margins
• Apply working knowledge of Incoterms and commercial invoice requirements
• Build strong relationships with airlines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, trucking companies, and logistics vendors
• Prepare reports and management information as requested
• Provide courteous, prompt, and professional customer service to clients
