Responsibilities include examining documents like invoices and air waybills, researching tariff codes, and ensuring accurate information transmission in DHL Clearance. Overtime may be required and relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Overtime is required.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience preferred.
• 1 year experience in transportation or customs preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), database and web-based applications
• Good oral and written communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills both email and phone etiquette a must

Responsibilities

• Make contact with customers to obtain correct documentation to comply with US customs regulations.
• Research tariff codes through government websites.
• Process extensions and cancellations of shipments.
• Comply with government regulations by supplying missing information.
• Maintain lines of communication with internal and external departments.
• Review documents to determine information needed for customs clearance.
• Communicate with origin and destination locations regarding shipment status and handling.
• Verify shipment documents for accuracy.
• Assign shipments for correction in DHL clearance system.
