Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a warehouse team lead in Carson, CA to maximize productivity, manage documentation workflows, and ensure timely processing of shipments. You will coordinate with clients, supervise staff, and address customs-related challenges to prevent mis-deliveries.

The role requires at least 2 years of related experience and a preference for a brokerage license. This position offers diverse shifts and opportunities for growth within GEODIS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Brokerage License preferred.
• Ability to supervise and/or direct the work of others.
• Ability to apply basic calculations as related to quantities of product picked.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes team productivity by ensuring team reaches max file count and evaluates ETA.
• Leads team per client SOPs and handles client requests.
• Oversees workflow including classification, entry, billing, and audits.
• Assists team with Customs, OGA issues and carrier coordination to prevent mis-deliveries.
• Monitors entry status and ensures timely handling of Customs holds and exams.
• Reviews rejected entries and post-entry work with Import Supervisor oversight.
• Monitors payables/receivables and resolves accounting discrepancies.
• Audits entries prior to submission to Customs and by the 10th day.
• Ensures staff training completion and proper time-keeping by noon Monday.
