Job summary

Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a Lead for its U.S. customs entry team in Grand Rapids, MI. You will direct the team's daily work, act as the go-to expert on entries, and ensure timely, compliant processing of complex shipments.

In this role you will allocate tasks, mentor entry writers, and oversee high-risk entries to maintain accuracy and efficiency. A strong track record in customs entries is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of U.S. customs entry experience.
• Licensed Customs Broker, CCS or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign and rebalance the daily queue among entry writers.
• Prepare and transmit complex or high-risk entries, including those with partner government agency requirements, special trade programs, or unusual commodities.
• Review entry writers' work and send it back for correction.

Description

The Lead directs the team's daily work and is its go-to expert on entries. The Lead has authority over the work: what gets done, by whom, and in what order. The Supervisor keeps authority over people. The Lead is the formal backup for the Supervisor on daily operations.

Requirements

• 4 or more years of U.S. customs entry experience.

• Can explain the why, not only the fix, so errors don't repeat.
