Job Description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Encourage team members to deliver excellent customer service. Must be able to oversee the total store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Store Managers in Training. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

  1. Work in all areas of our stores including cashiering, stocking, general maintenance, and cleaning.
  2. Assist store management and team members in achieving a favorable customer shopping experience.
  3. Lead teams in planning, implementing, and executing merchandising and operating initiatives.
  4. Identify opportunities in the store, develop solutions, and create action plans for implementation.
  5. Drive sales with the management team to maximize sales and profits while managing shrink.
  6. Assist in reducing turnover, increasing retention, and maintaining store operations.
  7. Manage labor and supply costs to meet customer service and financial targets.
  8. Handle customer returns and exchanges to ensure satisfaction and compliance with policies.
  9. Monitor inventory and stocking conditions to ensure system integrity.
  10. Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
  11. Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or activities.
  12. Follow all legal and company guidelines, and oversee store operations in the absence of management.
  13. Maintain flexibility for any shift, including opening or closing the store.
  14. Promote trust and respect among team members.
  15. Create a welcoming environment for customers and assist with product questions.
  16. Develop technical and professional skills pertinent to the role.
  17. Maintain knowledge of products and provide suggestions to customers.
  18. Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motions.
  19. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Dependability and integrity in work history.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Basic math skills and effective communication.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
