Position: Shift Leader

Location: 502 E John St, Champaign IL 61820

As a Shift Leader at our U of I store, you are the captain of our bakery day or night! You understand what it takes to “Own the Night” by predicting the flow of business during a successful shift. Your hands-on leadership should include building orders, suggestive selling, baking, and interacting with customers. You will also take pride in knowing that your leadership contributes to a productive and fun night for your store.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and quality products
• Support store operations, communicate effectively, monitor efficiency, and train team members
• Delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning
• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to food safety practices
• Manage cash handling and deposits

Desired Skills & Experience

• At least 1 year of customer service experience
• Point of Sale system experience
• Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Outgoing, friendly, patient demeanor
• Detail-oriented and results-driven
• Leadership by example and motivational skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be 18 or older
