Minimum qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months related experience or training, or equivalent education/experience
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Friendly, approachable, team-oriented demeanor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

Desired qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Teamwork skills to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive environment
  • Ability to provide friendly, respectful, and efficient customer service
  • Greet customers warmly and assist with products, heavy items, and out-of-reach items
  • Anticipate customer needs, communicate effectively, and resolve issues promptly
  • Oversee front-end operations to meet sales, profit, and labor goals, ensuring cleanliness and safety
  • Prioritize tasks to maintain front-end conditions
  • Ensure accurate checkout procedures and compliance with policies and regulations
  • Train and coach associates on policies and procedures to reduce shrink and waste
  • Communicate pricing discrepancies and operate equipment per standards
  • Provide backup support for the service operations manager (excluding hiring and discipline)
  • Maintain knowledge of checkout transactions, policies, and bookkeeping
  • Assist with front-end functions like checkout, stocking, and cleaning
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations, reporting unsafe conditions or illegal activities

Salary Range: $15.25 - $17.85 per hour
