Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Customer Specialist to join our team in a hands-on inside sales role. You will respond to customer inquiries, process quotes and orders for Account Managers, and provide technical support across districts.

The position requires regular onsite presence with a focus on driving store productivity and sales growth. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in inside sales or retail, a strong customer-service orientation, and comfort with Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of inside sales, retail, or related experience.
• HVAC or mechanical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, identify needs, and provide effective solutions.
• Process quotes and orders for Account Managers, maintaining high volume and accuracy.
• Provide technical support, promote product offerings, and identify additional sales opportunities.
• Make outbound calls, resolve customer issues within policy, and visit customers as needed.
• Support store operations through event assistance, in-store coverage, inventory tasks, and adherence to safety and standard work.
• Collaborate with teams, mentor new associates, engage in community activities, and model strong customer-facing behavior.
