Job summary

Penguin Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Customer Support Engineer to deliver exceptional technical support and ensure mission-critical system availability for our clients. You will diagnose complex issues, work with customer IT teams, and travel to sites for installations and training.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in technical customer support or field engineering, strong OS troubleshooting (Windows/Linux), and networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in the computer industry will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in a technical customer support or field engineering role.
• Proficient in OS-level troubleshooting and debugging (Windows, Linux, RedHat).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve OS and application issues in complex environments and partner with client IT teams.
• Travel to customer sites to perform installations and field service activities.
• Provide formal and informal training to customers and junior staff.
• Participate in product introduction activities, testing, and readiness evaluations.
