Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Williamsport, PA. You will handle basic customer inquiries, process orders, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and attention to detail, with emphasis on accuracy and timely responses. You will work closely with sales and supply chain to optimize orders and service levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with reliable time management.
• Moderate computer skills and ability to use business systems.
• Product knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via phone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in.
• Influences gross profit by negotiating price within parameters.
• Adjusts non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Builds relationships to drive repeat business and identifies process improvements.
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels by ordering items for customers.
• May place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
• Sources products from branch, DC, or supplier inventory.
• Determines cost-effective shipping methods for orders.
• Collaborates with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedites backorders and may prepare orders for shipment.
• May handle customer returns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
