Job summary

The Illing Company is seeking a Customer Service Representative to build and maintain strong relationships with customers through day-to-day order entry, freight coordination, and issue resolution. The CSR supports sales initiatives to grow account service levels.

Key duties include processing orders, handling inquiries, coordinating shipping, and assisting with purchasing needs while maintaining accurate customer records and timely communication with buyers and internal staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least two years of related experience in customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Establishes productive and professional relationships with key buyers at accounts.
• Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services.
• Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative's knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.
• Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns.
• Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
• Assists in order entry, freight coordination, invoicing, and purchasing needs for account requirements.
• May serve on cross-functional team and assist with purchasing duties including daily purchasing, scheduling, and logistical activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
