Applied Industrial Technologies, a global leader in industrial distribution, seeks a Customer Service Representative in Illinois to provide expert assistance and build lasting relationships with customers.

You will assist customers by phone and in person, clarify needs, quote parts, and process orders while aiming to meet monthly sales goals and drive satisfaction. The role offers growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent telephone and written skills, including English grammar.
• Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Enjoys working with computers, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel) and comfortable with Google search engine.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR).
• SAP / ERP experience, preferred but not required.
• Some knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics, preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multitask, sense of humor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility.
• Clarify needs, do research, and recommend parts after getting up to speed.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction.
• Process quotes, take orders and provide post-order service.
