Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for customers, handling calls, emails, and social inquiries. You will resolve issues, explain billing and service options, and work with other departments to ensure a positive experience.

The role requires strong communication, data entry, and problem-solving skills, with a chance to grow in a team-focused environment and support essential waste services for communities.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of call center or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual skills are desired but not required.
• High School diploma (or GED) required.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones promptly and courteously using company procedures.
• Receive and respond to customer inquiries via multiple channels.
• Identify reasons for cancellation and attempt retention.
• Provide information on service options, charges, billing, and contracts.
• Log and record information on customer accounts and create work orders.
• Process payments and assist customers with RumpkePay as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues.
