Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Circleville, OH is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the first contact for customers. You will answer calls, respond to inquiries via phone, email or social channels, process payments, and work with other departments to resolve issues and retain customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• Bilingual skills are desired, but not required.
• 1-2 years of call center or customer service experience preferred.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
• Must be able to read and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Respond professionally to customer inquiries.
• Handle inquiries via phone, email, social media, fax or in-person.
• Identify reason for cancellation and attempt retention.
• Explain service options, charges, billing and contracts.
• Explain resolution to customer concerns clearly.
• Process payments and assist with RumpkePay.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.
• Log and record information on customer accounts.
• Create work orders/interactions as needed.
• Handle data entry tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage billing/invoicing, renewals/bids/price increases/tonnage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
