Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in retail, customer service or a medical office setting.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology and medical insurance processes is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with empathy and patience.
• Skilled with point-of-sale systems and inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess medical equipment needs.
• Recommend appropriate durable medical equipment products.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on proper use, care, and maintenance of DME.
• Collect and verify patient demographics, prescriptions, and insurance info.
• Review physician orders for equipment setups.
• Set up CPAP, BiPAP, and related respiratory equipment.
• Educate patients on usage, mask fitting, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Demonstrate equipment operation and answer questions from patients.
• Ensure compliance requirements and follow-up procedures are understood.
• Document patient information, equipment serial numbers, and setup details.

The Role

To support patients by assisting with the selection and purchase of respiratory supplies, while providing exceptional customer service in a friendly and professional environment. This includes processing transactions, managing inventory, and ensuring all orders are accurately generated with proper documentation and insurance verification.

Schedule

Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in retail, customer service, or a medical office setting
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology and medical insurance processes is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high degree of empathy and patience
• Skilled with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory software

What You'll Be Doing
