Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE to receive and respond to account inquiries by patients and legal entities. To verify eligibility and benefits for patients with insurance coverage. To bill and collect payments from patients and third party payers including outstanding balances, co-pays and co-insurance. To maintain a balanced cash drawer. To enter all charges incurred by the patient during office visits using the appropriate procedure and diagnosis codes. To schedule patients for the clinic. To handle telephone inquiries in a multi-line environment. To use Practice Management Software system in performance of these duties and responsibilities. To occasionally deliver medical records, supplies and walk throughout the clinic assisting faculty, patients, and students.
(Hourly Rate: $15.00 - $21.15)
High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience required.
