PATIENT SERVICES COORDINATOR II

The Patient Services Coordinator II responsible for coordinating and/or administering clinical and patient services and for performing administrative duties in support of the School of Dentistry Endodontics Clinic. This role ensures smooth clinic operations, inventory management, coordinating patient treatment with assignment of students and residents and working closely with vendors and clinic director and/or chair. Assist with patient scheduling, resolves patient problems, reception and sterilization.
Under general supervision and according to UAB Medicine established policies and procedures, provides a variety of specialized services in support of the operations of their assigned physicians, advanced practice providers and assigned clinics.
May direct the work of other clerical employees.
Hourly Range:$16.00-$26.00
High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years office/clerical experience in customer service, call center, physician office or other clinical environment required.
Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills; excellent customer service and communication skills required.
Business Office Education or similar coursework preferred.
Currently certified as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred.
