The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and is comfortable with data entry and EMR systems. CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months is required.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, handling calls, scheduling, routing messages and providing information.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments.
• Verify and update patient demographic information.
• Route clinical messages to appropriate staff.
• Provide information on services, office procedures and appointment prep.
• Document patient interactions in the EMR system.
• Assist patients with referrals, authorizations and inquiries.
• Perform opening and closing office procedures.
• Address concerns to support patient satisfaction and escalate issues.
• Meet productivity, attendance and quality standards.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• As the representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors seeking services within the medical facility. This position is responsible for professionally handling incoming calls, scheduling appointments, routing messages, providing general information, and supporting patient access to care.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments
• Verify and update patient demographic information
• Route clinical messages to appropriate staff or departments
• Provide patients with information regarding services, office procedures, and appointment preparation.
• Document patient interactions accurately within the electronic medical record system.
• Assist patients with referrals, authorizations, and general inquiries.
• Perform office opening procedures and closing procedures independently as scheduled.
• Support patient satisfaction by addressing concerns and escalating issues appropriately
• Meet established productivity, attendance, and quality standards.
