The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and is comfortable with data entry and EMR systems. CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Experience in medical office or call center preferred but not required.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; pleasant phone technique.
• Computer aptitude for inquiry, data entry and daily system operations.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, handling calls, scheduling, routing messages and providing information.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments.
• Verify and update patient demographic information.
• Route clinical messages to appropriate staff.
• Provide information on services, office procedures and appointment prep.
• Document patient interactions in the EMR system.
• Assist patients with referrals, authorizations and inquiries.
• Perform opening and closing office procedures.
• Address concerns to support patient satisfaction and escalate issues.
• Meet productivity, attendance and quality standards.
