Job summary

Altronix Corp. in New York is seeking a detail-oriented customer service representative to accurately enter and process purchase orders. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with customers and internal representatives to ensure orders are processed promptly.

Requirements include prior experience in a similar role, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with computers. The position offers a full-time schedule from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and rates ranging from $20.00 to $21.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and process purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Correspond with customers and company representatives on order matters.
• Diligently follow purchase orders through to completion.
• Perform general office and clerical tasks.
• Handle other related customer service/order entry duties.

Prior experience entering purchase orders

• Diligently follow purchase orders through to completion, working with appropriate parties to quickly resolve issues that may delay timely processing
• Perform general office and clerical tasks
• Other related Customer Service/ Order Entry office duties as deemed necessary

Qualifications

• Prior experience entering purchase orders within a manufacturing setting/sales office environment
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional and pleasant phone manner to service incoming and outgoing calls
• Proficiency in use of computers and related software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Detail-oriented work ethic
• Knowledge of SAGE100 preferred but not required.

Additional Information

Schedule: Full-time (9am-5pm), Monday-Friday

Rate of pay: In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 to $21.00 per hour; which may be increased upon successful completion of the 90th day introductory period.
