LHH Recruitment Solutions in Mount Prospect, IL seeks a Customer Support Representative to provide world-class service to internal and external customers within a manufacturing environment. Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher preferred.
• High school diploma or GED may be acceptable depending on experience.
• Minimum of three years related experience, preferably in an international manufacturing sales organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Lotus Notes, Word and Excel and other data tools.
• Ability to read and interpret orders, returns, and customer inquiries.
• Strong communication, grammar, spelling and proofreading skills; customer-focused.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide world class customer support to internal and external customers while maintaining awareness of all matters affecting a region of customers.
• Process all customer requests including sales order entry, RMAs, credit requests and invoicing within Atlas guidelines.
• Ensure returns are processed within defined periods to minimize warranty costs and maximize satisfaction.
• Review and refine business processes to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Communicate with manufacturing, purchasing, credit control and shipping to meet delivery dates and flag delays.
• Escalate issues to managers for prompt investigation and action as required.
• Maintain accurate customer information and assist colleagues as needed.
• Track and expedite orders on request.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as required.

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Customer Support Representatives at our manufacturing client in Mount Prospect, IL.

Customer Service Representative

• Provide world class customer support to both internal and external customers while maintaining complete awareness of all matters affecting a defined region of customers. Supports colleagues as appropriate ensuring Atlas meets required levels of customer support.
• Responsible for processing all customer requests including sales order entry (for orders received via phone, email, fax and EDI), Return Material Authorizations (RMAs), credit requests and invoicing within Atlas guidelines ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
• Ensure Atlas receives all customer returns back within a defined period of time thus minimizing warranty costs and maximizing customer satisfaction through the monitoring of all open RMA’s.
• Constantly reviews and refines business processes to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Communicate directly with manufacturing, purchasing, credit control and shipping to ensure delivery dates are met while communicating any delays in a timely manner.
• Responsible for all areas of customer support within the assigned territory including ensuring accurate customer information has been recorded and is fully understood by covering personnel. Assists colleagues to cover other areas as required.
• Validates individual order specification and pricing inquiries through effective communication with Domestic Sales Representatives (Direct and Indirect).
• Responsible for ensuring that issues are escalated to managers for prompt investigation and action as required.
• Responsible for performing all job duties while ensuring records are kept in a secure and organized manner including filing and maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
• Track & expedite orders on request.
• Any other ad hoc duties as required

Requirements:

• Associates degree or higher preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) may be acceptable depending on individual's experience and capabilities.
• Minimum of three years related experience, preferably in an international manufacturing sales organization or equivalent skills and training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Lotus Notes, Word and Excel and other computer-based analytical tools to mine, organize and sort data.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as orders, returns, and customer inquiries.
• Strong customer orientation abilities along with excellent communication (written and verbal), grammar, spelling and proofreading skills as well as ability to follow up effectively with all internal and external customers.
• Ability to perform at high levels both individually and in a team within a fast paced ever-changing work environment.
