Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Customer Service & Equipment Associate for U-Haul products at our Missouri location. You will assist customers, manage rentals with U-Scan, and ensure safe operation of equipment including hitch installation and trailer wiring.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to move equipment weighing at least 50 lbs.
• Work around moving parts, fumes or irritants.
• Protective clothing or gear may be required.
• Propane filling certification offered upon employment; forklift certification offered upon employment.

• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental
• Install hitches and trailer wiring
• Fill propane
• Drive a forklift
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to move equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted
• Ability to work around moving parts or machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals
• May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields
• Certification for propane filling offered through U-Haul upon employment
• Forklift certification offered through U-Haul upon employment
