Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Retail/Equipment Associate to assist customers with products and services at the Greensboro location. You will use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory, move and hook up trucks and trailers, and ensure equipment is clean and safe for use.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift heavy equipment, and willingness to participate in U-Haul University training. This is a full-time on-site position in Greensboro, NC.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred and the ability to educate customers on products and services.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing at least 50 lbs., with or without assistance.
• Ability to work around moving parts, fumes, or irritants and use protective gear when required.
• Ability to remain stationary for long periods and move indoors and outdoors as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to move equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted
• Ability to work around moving parts or machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals
• Ability to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields when required
• Ability to remain stationary for long periods and move around indoors and outdoors
• Ability to position oneself to reach objects at varying heights
• Must not use nicotine products in accordance with applicable state law and U-Haul hiring policy
