Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact for customers. This role involves handling inquiries, resolving complaints, processing orders, and providing information about services while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, or in person.
  • Provide accurate information about products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Resolve customer complaints or elevate issues to the appropriate department.
  • Process orders, returns, refunds, or exchanges.
  • Manage truck loads and scheduling.
  • Maintain customer records and update account information in company systems.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Meet performance metrics such as response time, resolution time, and customer satisfaction.
  • Document customer interactions in CRM systems.

Education/Experience is required when indicated, desired otherwise.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM software.

  • Strength and flexibility to work at a desk for up to eight hours

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties for this position, the employee is primarily located in an office environment.

While on project sites, the employee may be exposed to wet or humid conditions and all-season outdoor weather conditions such as extreme cold or extreme heat. The employee may occasionally be asked to work in high/precarious places and/or confined spaces, work within proximity of moving mechanical parts, be around fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, animal manure, food waste products, biogas, may be subject to loud noises and strong vibrations, and encounter frequent truck and equipment traffic.

Compensation

Salary is paid on a bi-weekly basis and will be consummate with the value and experience the candidate brings to the role. In addition to base salary, compensation includes the option to participate in company sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance plans and in a retirement savings program as well as paid personal time off and holidays. You will also be eligible for the monthly incentive program paid out at 1.25% of your annual salary.
