Job summary

Sagepoint Energy in Green Bay, WI is hiring a Fleet Manager to oversee all fleet operations, manage vehicles and driver activities, and optimize routes to maximize load capacity. You will coordinate scheduling, compliance, and performance metrics in a fast-paced environment.

The role reports to the VP of Logistics and offers exempt status with bi-weekly salary, plus benefits and an incentive program. Candidates should have DOT/FMCSA knowledge and 3+ years in fleet/logistics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire fleet operations, including the management of vehicles and equipment.
• Responsible for scheduling drivers, optimizing routes, reducing downtime, and ensuring maximum loads per day.
• Manage a team of for-hire drivers responsible for over-the-road routes, ensuring they are kept up to date with licensing, credentials and compliance.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to improve fleet operations and efficiency.
• Manage all truck logistics, tracking, accurate bills of lading and invoicing
• Oversee the maintenance of driver ELD devices to ensure compliance with DOT and company policies.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Ensure that all vehicles are well-maintained and equipped with necessary safety equipment.
• Analyze transportation data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in logistics and transportation management.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to improve fleet efficiency and profitability

Education/Experience

Education/Experience is required when indicated, desired otherwise.

The employee may occasionally be asked to work in high/precarious places and/or confined spaces, work within proximity of moving mechanical parts, be around fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, biogas, may be subject to loud noises and strong vibrations, and encounter frequent truck and equipment traffic.

Compensation

Salary is paid on a bi-weekly basis and will be consummate with the value and experience the candidate brings to the role. In addition to base salary, compensation includes the option to participate in company sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance plans and in a retirement savings program as well as paid personal time off and holidays. You will also be eligible for the monthly incentive program paid out at 1.25% of your annual salary.
