Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registrar, you will be responsible for:

  • Timely and accurate patient registration, interviewing patients for account info, verifying insurance coverage.

In this role, you will:

  • Interview patients at workstation or bedside, using carts/computers on wheels.
  • Provide exemplary customer service.
  • Complete and verify charts and insurance info, obtain pre-certification/authorization, calculate patient liability, and ensure signatures for treatments.
  • Process charts according to workflow and standards.
  • Obtain demographic and insurance info from patients or responsible parties.
  • Assign insurance plans accurately, verify benefits, and initiate pre-certification if needed.
  • Secure signatures for treatments, release info, and payment, and collect IDs and insurance cards.
  • Explain policies regarding services, pricing, and billing.

Qualifications needed:

  • 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
